About Me.jpg

Founder Caely Melford comes from a robust creative background in furniture design, experiential design, and interior design.

Prior to finishing an intensive program at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport, ME, she was in charge of the Facility Planning and Expansion Department at a fast-paced startup in San Francisco. One aspect of this job included space planning and designing the company’s offices across the country to reflect our culture, an amazing outlet for her love of furniture and interior design. It was during this 3+ years at ZeroCater that she gained the knowledge of how to successfully run and grow a small business which eventually gave her the courage to fully focus on pursuing a career in design.

After completing her furniture program in Maine, Caely traveled back to the Bay Area to continue her education, simultaneously apprenticing as a woodworker at a fine furniture shop and working as a designer at a high-end architecture firm. Most recently, she was hired to design and build 19 bedroom sets for a remodeled motel in Bend, OR.

Timeless furniture with a modern touch.

Caely’s work ethic, keen attention to detail and high expectations for the quality of work produced is manifested in her designs.

Her experience in creating both functional and beautiful spaces has largely influenced her work. In particular, a need for furniture that accommodates for the nuances of life. Materiality and tactility are used throughout her practice as a means to enhance connection and shared moments.
